Blog LinkIn all the time I have spent with the Internet and with volunteer organizations like the RPGA, I have worked hard and long in supporting the Game organizations for little reward and for little recognition. I have done this in the mindset of needing 'school fees' in order to practice (and hopefully perfect!) some of my skills with regards the written word. However, there is a down side in that once you put forward work like this, the 'iwoot' mentality of public domain works and the associated plundering becomes an insane orgy of bloated consumption and associated obligation. Many time, it is in these feeders best interests to ignore your wishes and demand more fuel for their vampiric habits. The more of a scarce resource your work becomes, the louder and more shrill the demands, and worse... the more ingenious the excuses used to continue this relationship of exploitation. I have been involved in numerous flame wars just recently, all started from my relatively simple answer of 'No, thank you... but no!' to certain requests. I don't like flame wars and I certainly do not appreciate people trying to manipulate me on the basis of my good nature. Thus the reason I have turned this Site around and have gone to extraordinary lengths to protect myself from aggressive consumers of my work and my IP. Face it, all of you... there are types of people I don't want to play in my games and if you're one of those types, you can be as angry as you want... The answer is still 'No!' You just don't deserve it... deal with that! Click on the Image below to be taken to the Caliban's Isle Blog Page This way, all the nastiness of the last few years may be avoided for the future. If I haven't given you User Permissions... then you shouldn't be on there. Life is that simple.
